This plug and play Ethanol Sensor Kit is the latest release of our Flex Fuel product offering for the VWAG MQB platform. It consists of an ethanol content sensor with mounting bracket, quick connect fuel fittings, Pin locator template, pin tool, and a plug-and-play wiring harness to bring it all together.
The OE quality ethanol content sensor is secured to a bespoke powder coated aluminum bracket. Fuel is then fed to and from the sensor with factory fuel line using OE quick disconnects.
With the provided pin locator template, you can easily find the correct location for the FF kit signal wire. With the included pin tool, installation is a breeze!
Included with the FF kit are Cobb Tuning OTS maps that have functionality enabled for flex fuel, which can be downloaded from the AccessPort Manager software.

MONITORS
Flex Fuel related monitors are also included with the firmware update permitting eliminating the need for an external gauge for ethanol concentration!

WHY?
The COBB NexGen Ethanol Sensor Kit measures the ethanol content level of the fuel being pumped into your engine and then sends that data to the ECU to be used in a Flex Fuel calibration.
EMISSIONS
This part is legal under the provisions of EPA’s Anti-Tampering Policy. COBB Tuning has established a reasonable basis (testing results) to verify that this product allows the vehicle to operate within legal emissions standards and is therefore legal to be sold for on-street use in all states that accept the legal provisions of the Clean Air Act and EPA’s Anti-Tampering Policy.
Testing with the California Air Resources Board, in order to achieve 50-state compliance, is pending. Once testing is complete with California, and an EO number is issued, this product will be updated to 50-state legal status.
