Stainless Steel 90 Degree Angled O2 Sensor Extension Adapter with Built-In 400 Cell Mini Cat - Adjustable.

Featuring M18 x 1.5mm threads, this adapter fits 99% of O2 sensor threads. Please verify your thread size before purchase. This adapter might be the solution if you are experiencing engine check light issues due to a deleted or high-flow catalytic converter.

Note: This product does not guarantee the elimination of O2 sensor check engine light issues.

For OBD-II vehicles (1996 and newer), the engine control unit (ECU) uses two O2 sensors to monitor and manage engine function. The first sensor, located before the catalytic converter, adjusts air/fuel mixtures and is crucial for the vehicle's performance. The second sensor, positioned after the catalytic converter, checks for the converter's presence by detecting differences in exhaust gases. If it reads similar exhaust levels as the first sensor, it may indicate a malfunctioning or absent catalytic converter.

This mechanical O2 sensor spacer is designed to slightly distance the sensor from direct exhaust flow, thus reducing the likelihood of a check engine light by tricking the ECU into sensing a restricted flow, as it would with a functioning catalyst. However, effectiveness can vary based on the specific exhaust system configuration and ECU tuning. This product is known for successfully resolving most check engine lights caused by O2 sensor issues, but results can vary.
