This wastegate rod actuator clip is designed to eliminate the rattling noise affecting many 2.0 TSI or TFSI engines.

This is a known issue, and Volkswagen Technical Service Bulletin 2024061 states:
Rattling Noises from Engine Compartment Area or Exhaust System
Customers may complain of a rattling noise from engine or exhaust area while accelerating from 1800-3000 RPM.
Installation of this clip will eliminate the rattling noise. It can also help to keep your wastegate closed which leads to stronger boost. These can be installed to 'strengthen' up your wastegate actuator and as a preventative when tuning to maintain boost. This is a very cheap and worthwhile investment for K03 turbos.
* be warned cheap ebay stuff is junk and doesn't fix anything. This is the genuine OEM fix - not some cheap knock off rubbish that doesn't work!
Should fit all EA113 K03 and EA888 K03 engines common to MK5 GTI, MK6 GTI, 8P A3, 8J TT and 147 TSI models.
